The EROS B satellite is an Earth observation satellite operated by ImageSat International (ISI), ai company specializing in satellite imaging. EROS B is part of the EROS (Earth Resources Observation Satellite) series, which includes multiple satellites designed for various Earth observation purposes. EROS B is equipped with a high-resolution camera capable of capturing images with a ground resolution of 50cm. This level of resolution allows the satellite to capture detailed images of Earth’s surface, making it useful for a variety of applications for defense and itelligence sectors.
EROS B’s imaging capabilities have been utilized by governments, military organizations, intelligence agencies, and commercial entities around the world for purposes such as reconnaissance,intelligence gathering, disaster monitoring, and land-use planning.
The satellite was launched on April 25, 2006, aboard a Russian Cosmos-3M rocket from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia.
