We are more than just allies of sexual abuse victims in Maryland. Lawyers for Victims is a sworn advocate that leaves no stone unturned to ensure everyone receives the justice they deserve. We fight against abusers who cause pain and suffering, keeping in mind the sensitive nature of the case.
From simply listening to your story without judgment to aiding you in navigating the complex criminal justice system, we will be with you till you get the compensation you deserve. We have more than three decades of experience advocating for survivors of sexual abuse, including those perpetrated by the clergy. All meetings are highly confidential.
Physical Damages
These include injuries and violations of your body, such as broken bones, contusions, bruises, and other injuries for which you can get compensated.
Emotional or Mental Damages
Depression, insomnia, anxiety, PTSD, and other emotional effects can result from sexual crimes and are categorized as pain and suffering.
Financial Damages
Did you have to pay for therapy/medical treatments, change the locks around your house, miss work as you tried to come to terms with the abuse, or find a new job? You have a case if the financial damages you suffered were the direct result of the sexual violence you experienced.
Punitive Damages
If you wish to seek punitive damages to ensure your abusers feel the full brunt of the law and are punished justly, we can also help you sue for punitive damages. These damages can be warranted if the abuser’s actions were wilful, oppressive or malicious.
