Waterborne Polyurethanes for Graphic Artsand Flexible Packaging
A Top PUDs supplier in the World

The uses of waterborne polyurethane coatings in graphic arts and flexible packaging markets are offering a wide range of solutions and benefits. Our waterborne polyurethanes can offer excellent binders for overprint varnishes, inks, paper coatings, film coatings, and flexible packaging. They bring excellent physical properties for the waterborne systems, and enhance a product’s appearance and lengthen its lifespan. In addition, they can be used in combination with acrylic emulsions to find just the right balance between cost and performance.

The following are a few of our waterborne polyurethanes used in adhesive applications:

33-35% solid content, NMP and DMAC free. They are all based on polyester. Their film hardness varies from soft to hard, and are both flexible and tough. They dry quickly and have excellent water resistance, abrasion resistance, and resistance to bond. Besides, SiwoPUD®-919F has excellent sodium hydroxide resistance and hydrolysis resistance, it has better crosslinking degree and chemical resistance.

It has small particle size, high acid value, good ductility and elasticity, and good water resistance. It is suitable for use as printing ink.

Its film is soft, elastic, and has excellent adhesion on the substrate such as PVC, PET, OPP, BOPP, umbrella fabric and nylon etc. It is suitable for the substrate that is difficult to adhere to. SiwoPUD®-1512X2 is an enhanced version of SiwoPUD®-1512L.

They can be diluted with 80- 90% industrial alcohol and stored stably. They are suitable for hard-to-adhere leather, fabric coatings, as well as water- based ink for variety of printed film materials.
