Most of the products developed in the early stage contain NMP
(N-methyl-2-Pyrrolidone) or DMAC (Dimethylacetamide) as
co-solvents. With the increasingly strict environmental protection requirements and in order to adapt to the EU restrictions on
NMP and DMAC, later products are developed without NMP or DMAC, they are more environmentally friendly and harmless
to people’s health.
The following are a few of our most common NMP and DMAC free waterborne polyurethane products and corresponding products containing NMP or DMAC:
NMP and DMAC free, medium hardness, excellent adhesion, water resistance, abrasion resistance, light fastness, and hydrolysis resistance. Suitable for leather, rubber, paper, plastic substrates and construction coatings, industrial coatings etc. The corresponding products containing NMP or DMAC are SiwoPUD®-916 and SiwoPUD®-913.
NMP and DMAC free, 60% solid content, flexible film, excellent elasticity, water resistance, wear resistance, and resistance to ultraviolet and weather. It is suitable for elastic coatings, thick coatings, and can be used alone or blended with acrylic emulsion for the formulation of elastomeric construction coatings.
NMP and DMAC free, excellent softness, excellent resilience, excellent alkali resistance, washing fastness, low temperature folding resistance, and high peel strength. It can be used for fabric printing and leather coating, etc. The coating of 8051F is softer and has higher elongation than that of 805F. The corresponding products containing NMP or DMAC are SiwoPUD®-805H and SiwoPUD®-8051H.
NMP and DMAC free, excellent elasticity, high strength and heat-activated performance at a higher temperature. Suitable for thermal transfer coatings, plastic and elastomer substrate bonding, bonding automotive interior. The corresponding product containing NMP or DMAC is SiwoPUD®-U-57.
NMP and DMAC free, high hardness, excellent adhesion to metal, glass and other substrates, excellent water resistance, solvent resistance, chemical resistance, high weather resistance, and stain resistance. It can be used for metal, glass, wood coating and industrial coatings, etc. The corresponding product containing NMP or DMAC is SiwoPUD®-1591.
