Western Bahr El Ghazal Community USA invites community members, volunteers, and partners to help build a strong, united, and supported Western Bahr El Ghazal diaspora community. This work focuses on social support, youth development, educational needs, family stability, and cultural connection in the diaspora, because a stable diaspora community is the foundation for effective support to Western Bahr El Ghazal and South Sudan.
There are several ways to contribute your time, skills, or institutional support. You can volunteer, become a partner, or join the community through membership.

Volunteer With Western Bahr El Ghazal Community USA
Volunteers help strengthen community support systems and build meaningful opportunities for families and youth across the diaspora. Volunteer support also helps the organization stay connected, responsive, and community-led.
Volunteer involvement may include:
- Community outreach and engagement
- Event support and coordination
- Youth mentorship and educational support
- Community advocacy and awareness activities
- Administrative or organizational assistance
- Skills-based contributions (professional support, planning, coordination)

Become a Community Member
Community membership is one of the most direct ways to strengthen unity and ensure that families do not face hardship alone. Members contribute to a shared support system built on compassion, responsibility, and collective strength.
Membership Contributions
- $180 annually to the Community Family Support Fund
- $50 one-time membership application fee
How the Family Support Fund is Used
Funds collected are used to:
- Provide financial grants to members facing hardship
- Support members in the event of a death in the immediate family, including:
- Father
- Mother
- Children
- Brothers or sisters
- Offer small, short-term loans in special circumstances (repayment required with minimal interest to help sustain the fund)
Note: Bereavement support is provided only for immediate family members listed above and only to active members who contribute to the fund.

Partner With Western Bahr El Ghazal Community USA
Partnerships help Western Bahr El Ghazal Community USA strengthen its community-focused mission while expanding access to resources and opportunities for families and youth in the diaspora. The organization welcomes collaboration with nonprofits, educational institutions, faith-based groups, community organizations, private sector partners, and individual supporters who share similar values and priorities.

Technical expertise, fundraising partnerships, logistics support, and access to institutional networks.
