1. Nature of Service

Home Insurance Protection provides a platform that helps connect homeowners with independent inspection professionals and related service providers for residential property inspections and informational reports.

Our services may include scheduling, payment processing, customer support, and electronic report delivery.

We do not guarantee:

  • insurance coverage
  • claim approval
  • policy renewal
  • prevention of loss
  • any specific financial outcome

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to request services for the property involved.

By using our services, you represent that:

  • You own, lease, manage, or are authorized to grant access to the property
  • Information you provide is accurate and complete

3. Booking and Payment

3.1 Upfront Payment Required

Displayed prices may be starting prices, estimates, or standard rates unless otherwise stated.

Pricing may vary based on:

  • property size
  • service type
  • location
  • complexity
  • add-on services
  • access limitations

Where applicable, final pricing will be disclosed before service.

3.2 Pricing

Payment is charged before the scheduled visit in order to secure the appointment, reserve inspector availability, and confirm scheduling.

Appointments are not guaranteed until payment is successfully received.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

4.1 Customer Cancellation Policy

You may cancel or reschedule by contacting us.

  • 48 hours or more before the scheduled appointment: full refund or reschedule credit.
  • Less than 48 hours before the appointment: 50% of the total booking amount is non-refundable and retained as a cancellation fee.

4.2 No Show / Access Failure

If the inspector cannot complete the appointment due to:

  • customer absence
  • denied access
  • unsafe conditions
  • unsecured pets
  • utilities turned off
  • inability to access necessary areas

then the booking may be treated as a late cancellation or no-show.

5. Scheduling and Arrival Times

Appointment times are estimated windows. Delays may occur due to traffic, weather, prior appointments, emergencies, or events outside our control.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate delays or rescheduling needs.

6. Reports and Delivery Timeline

Inspection reports are generally sent within 5 to 7 business days after the completed visit unless otherwise stated.

Delivery timelines may vary based on:

  • complexity of inspection
  • report volume
  • additional review required
  • testing add-ons
  • circumstances beyond our control

Reports are typically delivered electronically.

7. Nature of Reports

Inspection reports are informational only and reflect visible, reasonably accessible conditions at the time of inspection.

Reports:

  • are not warranties
  • are not guarantees of future condition
  • may not identify hidden or concealed defects
  • are not legal, engineering, insurance, or contractor advice

We do not guarantee that any report will satisfy any insurer, lender, buyer, seller, municipality, or third party.

8. Independent Service Providers

Inspectors and certain service providers may be independent contractors and not employees of the Company.

Each provider remains responsible for their own licensing, insurance, professional obligations, and work performance where required by law.

9. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • provide accurate property information
  • ensure legal property access
  • secure pets
  • provide safe conditions
  • disclose known hazards when possible
  • ensure relevant utilities are active if systems are to be inspected

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Home Insurance Protection shall not be liable for:

  • indirect or consequential damages
  • lost profits
  • claim denials
  • policy cancellations
  • hidden defects
  • future system failures
  • third-party decisions by insurers or lenders

Our maximum liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service in dispute.
