My name is Dan Rice and my journey as a photographer begin at a very young age. Growing up in Oregon I have always been inspired by the beauty around me and the driving force to preserve those memories. My photography career began while working at a photo lab and spending most of my free time in the darkroom in high school. Fate was on my side when a wedding & portrait studio in SW Portland opened the door into my career and life path. I started photographing professionally in 2001 and was instantly taken away by the love and joy of each wedding day and photography session. With an entrepreneurial spirit I started my own business in the year 2007.<\/p>

I photograph frequently in Portland, the Oregon Coast, Cannon Beach and throughout the Pacific Northwest. Over the years I have dedicated myself to photographing weddings and session photography including families and portraits. My family and I enjoy spending time together and adventuring the incredible scenery in Oregon. We are blessed with 4 amazing kiddos, who are all looking forward to being my assistant as they grow up. When I\u2019m not taking pictures my time is spent with my family or surfing, breakdancing and gardening.<\/p>

I personally handle all client relations and photography for my studio. With an amazing editor within my studio we make sure your images look incredible. Photographing with clients is such a treasured process. My biggest compliments from clients is how easy, professional and fun it is to work together. I love amazing lighting! I constantly seek perfect lighting combined with natural, story telling expression in all of my photographs. I make it my goal to capture real emotion, love & joy in all of my photographs. With each wedding we work together to create a photography timeline that works best to capture your day. I know each wedding is unique. I can help make suggestions on the amount of time it will take for certain portions of photography. Whether you are planning a first look or waiting until the ceremony to see your partner. We can photograph portions of your groupings before or after your ceremony depending on your preference. I photograph efficiently so that you can spend most of your wedding day celebrating with family and friends.<\/p>

Each wedding includes a client portal to hold all of your wedding photography details with me. There will be a wedding day questionnaire to list any of your important groupings and any special requests. That can help expedite those photographs so you can get to you party sooner!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With each wedding I capture a wide variety of photographs to completely tell the story of your wedding day. My style is a mix of timeless, photojournalistic, creative, candid and posed photographs. Some of my favorite images will be when I\u2019m capturing emotion with you and your partner. I will help with posing and making you look your best. I\u2019m very attentive to detail and keeping on schedule. I know how important photography is. I want to capture your wedding day memories efficiently so that you can enjoy plenty of time to celebrate. I\u2019m constantly taking pictures throughout your wedding day of you, your guests and your joyous celebration. One of my biggest compliments is how personable and professional I am to work with.<\/p>

Depending on your collection each wedding includes 600-1200 edited high resolution digital photographs for 6-8 hours of coverage. 2-5 hours of coverage generally produces 200-600 photos. Your photographs will be available within your viewing gallery to download, share and print from. You will also receive a USB drive in the mail with your collection of wedding photos. Some package include a wedding album. I help design your wedding album with your chosen photographs.<\/p>

When To Reserve Your Wedding Date<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I would suggest reserving your wedding day as soon as possible. My schedule fills up for weekends pretty quickly. Generally clients schedule anywhere from 6-24 months in advance. I\u2019m also flexible if your date changes. I only photograph one wedding per day and work with a team of great photographers if you are looking for a 2nd photographer on your wedding day.<\/p>
