Organize an unforgettable poker night by hosting a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament. Texas Hold ‘Em is a variation of poker where players are dealt two cards each (known as “pocket” cards) and five community cards are placed face up on the Texas Hold ‘Em table. The goal is to create the best hand possible using a combination of your pocket cards and the community cards.
At the beginning of the game, each player receives 2 cards face down. Subsequently, a betting round ensues, even though players have only seen two out of the 7 cards that will make up their hand. Following this, 3 cards are placed face up in the center of the Texas Hold ‘Em table, known as “the flop”. These are the initial 3 community cards out of 5 that will be placed face up on the table, collectively forming “the board”. The board consists of community cards that can be used by all players. Another round of betting follows. Next, a fourth card is revealed face up on the table, referred to as the “turn” card. This is followed by another round of betting. Finally, a fifth card is shown, known as the “river” card. The final round of betting takes place, where each remaining player has a total of 7 cards (2 “pocket” cards and 5 cards on the “board” – 3 from the “flop”, 1 from the “turn”, and 1 from the “river”). Players must then form the best 5-card poker hand from the 7 cards available to them.
